More information
Welcome to Woodgate Valley Practice. The Woodgate Valley Health Centre has its origins in a modest health centre which was opened in 1972. This stood where our current car park is, and was demolished to make way for our new practice building. The present building was opened on 15th June 2005. It offers us more consulting rooms, more clinical areas, better accommodation for our health visitors and midwives, more administration space and enhanced facilities for teaching. Since the introduction of the new General Medical Services contract for practices, the practice provides core services as well as a range of direct and national enhanced services for patients. Woodgate Valley is a member practie of Our Health Partnership.
We are a recognised training practice, associated with Birmingham University Medical School and all of our GP Partners are involved in Final Year Medical Students, Foundation Doctors and GP Registrar training.
Our practice vision is:
- Make the care of our patients’ our first concern
- Treat all patients’ with dignity, courtesy and respect without discrimination
- Respect patients’ right to confidentiality
- Be open. Honest and act with integrity
- Provide a good and safe standard of practice and care
- Provide information to patients’ that they want or need in an understanding way
- Respect patients’ right to reach decisions about their treatment and care
- Empower patients’ to manage their own care and make informed decisions about the care services they access
- Provide a good and safe environment
